49. Job Breakdown Report

The Job Breakdown report allows you to review the time spent on a job at a detailed level, either over the entire history of the job or within a specific date range.

For example, when viewing Andrew’s Construction job in November 2021, you’ll see which employees worked on the job during that period, along with the time each employee contributed.

In addition to showing total job time and estimated labour cost at the bottom of the table, the enhanced Job Breakdown report now includes:

  • Billable amounts per employee: See how much revenue each employee’s time has generated on the job, based on their billable rates.
  • Estimated job profit calculations: Get an overview of the job’s profitability by comparing total billable amounts against labour costs.
  • Labour cost vs. billable amount comparison: Easily assess profit margins, such as tracking towards a target 50% profit.

The report is structured with helpful tabs to give deeper insights into job activity, including:

  • Daily Summary: Breaks down the time spent on the job each day within your selected date range.
  • Employee Timesheets: Shows individual timesheet entries against the job. These can be exported as PDF or CSV files for further analysis.
  • Location Events: Displays GPS clock-in/out entries associated with the job.

NOTE: Labour cost calculations use the employee rates currently stored in the system, not historical rates. This means that if an employee’s rate has increased since they started working on the job (even if the job has been ongoing for some time), the labour cost shown will reflect the employee’s current rate at the time the report is run.
